1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of www.ourgep.org and your participation in GEP programs. By using this site, enrolling a student, volunteering, or donating, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site or our programs.
2. Who may use this site
You must be 18 or older to submit a form, enroll a student, volunteer, or donate. Children do not create accounts and do not submit information through this site. A parent or guardian enrolls a child and remains responsible for that child's participation.
3. Enrollment
3.1 Enrollment is submitted by a parent or guardian and is not confirmed until GEP confirms it in writing.
3.2 Students are placed by reading level following a short conversation with a teacher. Placement decisions are GEP's to make. A student may be moved between levels during a term if the teacher judges it appropriate.
3.3 Enrollment is subject to available space.
3.4 You must give accurate information at enrollment and tell us if it changes.
4. Fees
GEP offers both free and paid programs. Many of our classes are offered free of charge; some programs may carry a fee to cover their costs. Where a program has a fee, we will tell you the amount and how to pay before your child begins.
Free classes carry no tuition, registration, or materials fee, and donations are always voluntary — whether or not you donate has no effect on your child's place in class, their level, or the attention they receive.
For paid programs, unless stated otherwise at enrollment, fees are refundable in full before the program's first session and are not refundable once the program has begun. If GEP cancels a paid program before it begins, we will refund any fee you have paid.
5. Conduct in class
5.1 Students must: join on time and stay for the session; keep their camera on when possible so the teacher can engage them; treat teachers and other students with respect; not share the class link with anyone outside the class; and not record, screenshot, or capture any part of a class.
5.2 Parents and guardians must: make sure the student has a working device and a quiet place to join from; tell the teacher in advance if the student will miss a class; support learning at home between sessions; and treat teachers and volunteers with respect.
5.3 GEP may remove a student from a class session, or from the program, for repeated disruption, disrespect toward a teacher or another student, harassment or bullying, or repeated unexplained absence. Where practical, we will raise the problem with the parent first.
5.4 You may withdraw your child at any time by writing to gblo.org@gmail.com. Please tell us, so the place can go to a family on the waitlist.
6. Recordings
GEP does not record class sessions. Students, families, teachers, and any other participant may not record, photograph, screenshot, or stream a class session. This protects every child in the room, not only your own.
7. Volunteers and teachers
7.1 Volunteer positions are unpaid unless a stipend is agreed in writing.
7.2 Volunteers must keep student and family information confidential and must not contact a student privately outside GEP channels. All communication with a student goes through GEP channels, with a parent copied.
7.3 Either GEP or the volunteer may end the arrangement at any time.
8. Curriculum and materials
8.1 Lesson materials, worksheets, curriculum, the GEP name, the GEP logo, and the content of this website belong to GEP or to GBLO, or are used with permission.
8.2 Enrolled families may print and use class materials for their own child's learning.
8.3 You may not sell GEP materials, republish them, use them to run your own classes, or remove GEP's name or logo from them.
9. Content you submit
9.1 If you send us student work, a photograph, a testimonial, or a comment, you keep ownership of it and give GEP permission to use it in our programs, on our website, and in our materials.
9.2 Anything involving a child requires separate written permission from a parent through our Photo, Video and Recording Consent Form, and that permission may be withdrawn at any time.
9.3 Do not send us content you do not have the right to share.
10. Using this website
You may not use this site to break the law, to harass anyone, to send spam, to attempt to gain access to any system or account, to scrape it automatically without permission, or to interfere with its operation.
11. Donations
11.1 Global Education Program is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit. EIN [EIN — insert your EIN]. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
11.2 Donations are final and non-refundable, except where a donation was made in error or without authorization. If that happens, contact us within 30 days and we will work it out.
11.3 Recurring donations continue until you cancel. You may cancel at any time by writing to gblo.org@gmail.com or through your payment provider.
11.4 Receipts are issued by email.
11.5 GEP directs donations where they are most needed unless you have designated a specific purpose in writing and we have accepted it.
12. Links to other sites
We link to gblo.org and to other organizations and resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
13. No guarantee of results
We work hard to teach children Nepali. We do not guarantee any particular level of language proficiency, any test result, or any academic outcome. How much a child learns depends heavily on practice at home.
14. Availability
Classes and this website depend on internet connections and third-party platforms. We may need to cancel or reschedule a class because of technical problems, teacher illness, weather, holidays, or circumstances outside our control. We will tell you as early as we can. We do not owe compensation for a cancelled or rescheduled session.
15. Disclaimer
This website and GEP's programs are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, GEP disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GEP, its board members, officers, teachers, and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or participation in our programs.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify GEP and its board members, officers, teachers, and volunteers against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site or our programs.
18. Ending participation
GEP may suspend or end any person's access to the site or participation in our programs where these terms are breached, or where continued participation would put a child or a volunteer at risk.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE — your state of registration], without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state.
20. If part of these terms is unenforceable
If a court finds any provision unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
21. Changes
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. If we make a significant change, we will notify enrolled families by email. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.
